No it’s not. Mansell won the 1990 GP at Estoril with Senna finishing second. This is the 1989 season & this incident with also Prost finishing second damaged Senna’s title defence. Mansell was banned from the next GP in Spain for ignoring the Black flag.

CHE POI Mansell aveva fatto la retromarcia siccome arrivando alla piazzola del pit stop era stato ostacolato dai meccanici dell McLaren che erano lì a mezzo...apposta e per non investirli aveva dovuto allargare e poi mettere la retromarcia...Quindi dare quella bandiera nera è stato da🤮🤮🤮UNICA COSA che dico: Senna a quel punto doveva lasciare passare Mansell invece di lottare e così si mangiò il mondiale 1989 che era suo ! Assurdo !

@@user-jn1md9xm4b certamente ed era molto piu' da penalizzare con una certa sanzione per il contatto con Senna che non per quello,di una F1 che gia' al epoca visto una certa insensibilita' verso la sicurezza non penalizzava mai nessuno per manovre al limite e quando si,erano per perlopiu' boutade come quella retromarcia fatta da Mansell insomma.Detto cio' Senna non doveva lasciar fa passare nessuno poiche' chi e' primo o sta davanti cerca sempre di difendere la posizione,altrimenti non sarebbe F1 o motorsport.

Senna si giocava il mondiale e anche arrivando DAVANTI a Mansell...poi Mansell sarebbe stato cancellato dalla classifica di quel gran Premio ! Esempio Lauda/Villeneuve a Imola 1980 con Villeneuve che aveva rotto l'ala toccando Lauda e aveva preso un giro di doppiaggio. Quando Lauda lo vide arrivare negli specchietti, lo lasciò passare ECCOME dato che aveva un giro da recuperare e non si mise certo a battagliare con il rischio di perdere la gara. Difendi la posizione, CERTO che sì ! Senna avrebbe fatto sfilare uno che non contava nulla per la classifica del gran premio e quindi non faceva sfilare un avversario perdendo la posizione. Ti metti a battagliare sapendo che con un contatto perdi il mondiale, per stare davanti a uno che poi sarà cancellato dalla classifica tu ?
